FIRST DAY IN ICELAND - FROM KEFLAVIK to AKUREYRI IN THE NORTH

To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven." - Johannes A. Gaertner

Well, Iceland is on our bucket list, I must say that me and my husband are both so grateful about this trip and yes! Iceland, here we are!

We choose June to come and visit Iceland because of the weather condition. Summer in Iceland rolled around and we decided to rent a car to explore the country. Very few people know about the secrets Iceland has. And finally, we were there, witnessed the 24 hours day light.

It took about four hours flight from Paris to Keflavik International Airport. We landed at 9:20 in the morning. Grabbed our luggages then straight to the lobby after clearing the immigration.

The RED car rental guys welcome us at the gate. My husband then, look after the papers. Signed, then the RED guys handed the key and before we even know it. We were out on the road, driving in Iceland!
The first five minutes on the road didn't stopped me from taking photos! Me and my husband are both very excited about the whole trip. We have our GPS and after programming to our destination. That's it! All we did was just to enjoy the beautiful sights of Iceland.

Going to Akureyri in the North, took for about six hours drive. I know its tough for my husband driving but the beautiful landscape was enough to keep us both awake and energized. Akureyri is the 2nd largest town in Iceland. It is said that its the most populated town outside Rejkhavik, with 200,000 residents.

ALONG THE WAY

From the airport, from left to right, we were looking at volcano lava fields but will show you more photos later taken somewhere in the south of Iceland. BUT today's highlights were the countryside landscapes of northwest Iceland.

There were also mountains. Then there was the waterfalls. Honestly, we've never seen so many random waterfalls bursting out of the mountains! The word AMAZING was floating in the air that time.. lolz..

As we go further north, the snow caps started appearing. And even some evidence of volcanic activity! Astonishing beauty out there. I feel guilty that i'm the only one appreciating the beauty of the nature so I asked my husband to pull over the car so like this, we both will enjoy the beauty. It's really exhausting because its like in every 10 minutes there's always something amazing nature to surprise you. For the past three hours, we've been on the road, in between those beautiful mountains.

We finally hit Akureyri at around 8pm. (Yeah, took that long because we keep stoping along the way.) Akureyri. It's a beautiful town nestled at the foot of a bunch of mountains, and sits on the coast of the Artic Ocean. There we spent our first night in Iceland. We stayed at the Icelandair Hotel Akureyri. Beautiful hotel. What I love about this hotel was that, they put us at the room facing the mountain glacier. Really enjoyed this hotel so much too.

Oh well, I took thousands of photos during our week travel but here, I thought to share 40 photographs which I took during our trip from Keflavik to Akureyri. I think, I better share it with you the way we travel too. Enjoy as much we enjoyed viewing them.

BACK TO BANGKOK!

"Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams."- Ashley Smith

Hi my Beau- Friends! So I've been completely swamped here in my bed since this morning because of my jetlag and I'm sure I'm gonna get it for few days.. lolz

So. How are you. Hope all is well. Flight went very well, meet few good people on board too! Anyways, just a few days to get over my new time adjustment.

I took this photo when I woke up today at 2.45pm, that's probably around 8 or 9 am, EU time but the good news is that, I'm not complaining about it, just sharing. lolz

Anyways, rainy Bangkok here which is really good, meaning it's not that super hot anymore, unlike last time we left for EU... and honestly missing this place a lot. ❤️

Wishing you my beau-friends a good evening and a good day ahead.. ❤️❤️❤️

Sharing you love!❤️

A DAY IN BAGUIO [with my Friend's Health 101 Restaurants]

I thought our Saturday night stay at the hotel was fantastic but let me share from start: ;)
First up: There are 3 or four buildings on site, don't get lost as to where the reception is, just ask the staff when you arrived and they will show you. Secondly, The location is fantastic because you are right on the bay, meaning you will really enjoy viewing the perfect setting for unbelievable sunsets each night. The rooms are good. Different style and nice decorations. The best part, I love it when i feel like I'm in my bed when traveling. The bed and the pillows are soooo comfy.. (reason why I'm loving Centara Hotels & Resorts) ;)

Same night, me and my niece went for a dinner at the all-day dining restaurant - Modus Bistro. Different ambiance, decorations are mostly made of metals, different inspirations. We sat next to the hanging chains, very heavy.. And yes, we had a great time at the restaurant catching up whilst having our Vegetarian Pizza plus the Greek Salad! Beautiful! In short, we wrapped up our evening pretty good.

Before leaving the next day, me and my husband, we went for a walk at the pool and the beach area. There are two pool there, one for adults and for kids and its facing the ocean. Something that i missed though was visiting the The Sanctuary of Truth temple which is very close to the hotel. I love beaches and sands but thought visiting temples when in different places in Asia is cool too.

T'was a night at the hotel. The overall experience is pretty cool. A bit of noise from the construction but I would definitely come back again to enjoy more of what the hotel can offer.

Obviously, the name says it all. The second branch of Health 100 RestOrant. A small and friendly restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere. Not to far from the Strawberry Farm and its a walking distance opposite BSU (Benguet State University).

Each and every time, when in Baguio. I always visit the Health 100 RestOrant, in Magsaysay Baguio City. For vegetarians, the quality, the service, the variety of the food. -- everything is outstanding.

Today, after our photo walk at the Strawberry Fields in La Trinided, Benguet. The only restaurant open that morning was the Health 101. I really enjoyed my breakfast that morning, i thought im gonna try their signature, the Elmer's waffles. My choice was superb because its so yummy and a perfect match of my soya coffee! I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was also beautifuly presented.

Overall, food is very good and the prices are more than attractive for the quality served. What i like is the colour of the restaurant, greeny.. freshy.... The owner is always there walking around, so friendly.. Definitely worth visiting, I will come back for sure.

PS. BIG LOVE and BIG THANKS, my dear friend, Elmer for purchasing all my photos exhibited in your place. You're the best! More Power! - avec Lorna BC

(sorry for this late photos too... sabi nga.. better late than never di ba..lolz.) thanks manen..

Elmer, the owner of the restaurant and a good friend!

Amazing Saturday!

Had an amazing Satruday!
Hi my Beau-Friends,  Hope everyone are well today.  Sharing you my beautiful Saturday experience!

As usual, took for about 3 hours drive from Bangkok to Centara Grand Modus Resort Pattaya. We arrived around 4 in the afternoon. When we arrived, the GM (General Manager) and the staff were there to welcome us. There was an ongoing event when we arrived so it was pretty busy.
