WELCOME 2015! -- Resolution..s? ;)

...someone asked me the other day, what's my New Year's Resolution, and i replied and say... for me, i normally don't do a list on that matter and if ever i have one, i just keep that to myself and when its done, I'm secretly proud about it... otherwise, I evaluate myself (like every end of the day) and see what needs to get rid off and to keep and yes, keeping the best of goodies and learning from the bad, nightmare, terrible or whatever experiences that waken me up.. lolz..

(metaphorically speaking), I already started to plant my own tree. Hopefully, it will blossom with new leaves. You must be thinking now saying, that depends on how i water it.. ;)

2015 is finally upon us. It doesn't actually mean that we forget the past events but somehow looking back into the unfinished matters that still needed our attention. Made me smile because when you get carried away, you go around and tell everyone about your NEW YEAR's RESOLUTION but the time you're back at your work, you're actually looking at finishing the works undone late last year! lolz. (hopefully you'll be able to finish this week.) sigh.. lolz...

Normally, like every day, Monday is the day where you start to sort things out like noting your weekly things to do and its crazy when you just came back after long holidays. Of all the half-hearted resolutions, I'm still learning too on how to cobble together my yearly resolutions. When i come to think about it, it actually benefits my mental and physical wellbeing. I like to read my daily achievements, little yet productive, that kind of self-motivating too. (is it called, being selfish?) lolz...

At the end of the day, the only ones i manage to adhere to with any degree of my little daily achievements are those concerning my habits and my passion. My daily pursuit of happyness... (everyone wants a-pe-niss? -- got this line from the movie, Hector and the search for Happiness) lolz

Right. That's my lot for 2015. Fancy sharing yours?

(thank you manang Rosalie for the lovely mug and dear Vicky for the goldy journal.. ;) )

Loved my personalized Bo Sang Umbrella!

I had like a day left before leaving for Bangkok. Suggested place to see was the Umbrella Village, Bor Sang!

I remember it was midday when we went to visit the place, seems that all went for their lunch break. Only few staff were there so I thought to walk around and do some photos.

It's really an interesting village to see when in Chiang Mai. Here, you will see handcraft umbrellas that was beautifully coloured works of art, as well as fans (Chinese-style hand fans that is). The artwork is beautiful and fascinating to watch. I would plan to spend 1-2 hours here, watching and learning.

I dig in a bit about the Bo Sang's umbrella and I found that the traditional umbrellas are made from Saa paper (processed from mulberry bark) and the only information I could find on the history of Bo Sang’s umbrella making indicates that a wandering Thai monk brought the process to his town (Bo Sang) from Burma and the locals embraced the art, making umbrellas in the fall once field work is done for the season. The umbrellas are used as parasols in the sun and even as rain umbrellas because they’re coated with special oils to protect the paper.

This area of Chiang Mai is famous for handcrafted and painted umbrellas and fans, as well as the making of a handmade paper called saa paper. According to our tour guide, this factory was visited by HRH Princess Diana in 1988 alongside the famous Shinawatra Thai Silk factory nearby.

Just after walking around the area of designing the umbrellas. I went to approached one artist who's doing the paint designs. I was so amazed by the skill of the artist - he painted an intricate butterfly with blue flowers design on my umbrella and it took him for about 15 minutes.

Awesome, isn't? Now, im looking forward to join their festival.

FRIDAY Thoughts!

“When you think everything is someone else’s fault, you will suffer a lot. When you realize that everything springs only from yourself, you will learn both peace and joy.” - Dalai Lama

❤️ This is actually a post that I really like. I started sharing post back in late 2008 or 2009 about Dalai Lama (quotes) but somehow it keeps coming back, i guess its a way of keeping tracks when we overlook on little things that in fact, its simply a  REMINDING lines that saying.. "hey, there! slow down!"... I posted a lot of quotes on my FB page, and its funny to feel the impact on us, interested readers.

♥ º ☆.¸¸.•´¯`♥  Why I'm am I sharing [more] positive quotes instead?... - The reason for me posting them is that many quotes are a kind of essence that will eventually LIFT YOU UP when you are emotionally disturb or emotionally down. That's why, i also think its important enough to think about them.

and FROM THE QUOTE: "It is very true that pointing out the mistakes of others, making them responsible for your current “bad situation” is the easy way out. But not really of course. Since that moves you into the powerless corner, where you basically have no control over your life anymore. Taking complete responsibility for yourself and your own environment gives you the ability to influence your life the way you want it. While it can be hard at first, this is a true move to power and the necessary first step in your personal growth."

❤️ ❤️ Hope you are having a good start of your Friday.. Sharing love and peace my Beau-Friends! - ❤️ blissful Friday and weekend ahead!  ♥ º ☆.¸¸.•´¯`♥

Happy Wednesday!

And is true. Either you choose to be happy or unhappy.. that's all..

I would say this is a huge key to staying positive: letting go of expectations that things are going to turn out a certain way. This quote points to that by saying that nothing is going to be perfect, and that's totally ok, as long as we can let go of our attachments to the outcome and be present for what is actually happening.

Enjoy week ahead my Beau-Friends!

BACK TO BANGKOK!

"Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams."- Ashley Smith

Hi my Beau- Friends! So I've been completely swamped here in my bed since this morning because of my jetlag and I'm sure I'm gonna get it for few days.. lolz

So. How are you. Hope all is well. Flight went very well, meet few good people on board too! Anyways, just a few days to get over my new time adjustment.

I took this photo when I woke up today at 2.45pm, that's probably around 8 or 9 am, EU time but the good news is that, I'm not complaining about it, just sharing. lolz

Anyways, rainy Bangkok here which is really good, meaning it's not that super hot anymore, unlike last time we left for EU... and honestly missing this place a lot. ❤️

Wishing you my beau-friends a good evening and a good day ahead.. ❤️❤️❤️

Sharing you love!❤️
